    Cinco de Mayo!!
It’s coming up FAST!! Are you ready? Are your kids ready? Do you wanna just drink a beer? Yeah, me too…
In West Virginia this weekend, we have May Day Celebrations, Earth Day Activities and a huge Apple Blossom Festival. It’s a packed weekend, so a beer would be great!
I had to pick something, so I made some Chili Pepper Cake Pops with a kick of heat!

Chili Peppers carry some heat, so I added some cayenne to the chocolate cake mix as I was making my cake pop batter.
Chocolate and Chili go together so nicely. I really love it!
Making these Peppers are very easy. You need 1/4 of a chocolate cake, 2 tablespoons of chocolate frosting, a teaspoon of cayenne, red and green candy melts and some lollipop sticks.
    2 ps Chilli Peppers (19)
Measure, shape, chill, melt, add sticks, dip in red, then top off with the green.
I tried to get them a bit longer, but I wasn’t having much luck. My husband thought they looked like strawberries 🙁 I guess these weren’t as great as they could have been…. Oh well.

I loved how they turned out and if you like them too, then that’s all that matters to me.

It was a little tricky pushing the stick all the way through so that it poked out to create the stem. The cake pop dough cracked and I had to press the dough around the stick and make sure that it was secure before trying to dip it. Just be careful.

Get the kids to help you and have a great time with it! Adios!
