If you have a suggestion for something that you need help with, please let me know. I’ll be happy to make a video or tutorial to help you out.
To share some personal information with you, my Dad passed away six years ago. I last visited him on Father’s Day 2005 and he passed away less than a month later. I did not know at the time that I was pregnant, so I never had a chance to tell him he was going to be a Grandfather. I like to think that he knew because my daughter was born on my Dad’s Father’s Birthday. Yes, my daughter shares a birthday with her Great-Grandfather.
My Granddad passed away at Easter in 2010. It was his favorite time of year. I was not able to go down for his funeral service, but the Russian Orthodox Church has a 40 day mourning time and I was able to visit for the memorial ceremony and be there for my Grandmother.
Now, my Grandmother passed away the other day. As life would have it, she is being buried on my Father’s 63ed Birthday. It amazes me how our lives have come around and have interlaced by some higher power. I’m not a very religious person, but I’ve gotta believe that my Dad and his parents are reunited in Heaven and are going to enjoy a good ‘ol Russian Toast with some good Vodka while I give a toast to them here.
“Za vashe zdrorvie!” Here’s to health! And, “Here’s to Parents!” However, don’t clink your glasses together if they are no longer with you.
