Wondering what to do with all of your leftover chocolate Halloween candy?
Make mini chocolate tarts, of course!
These were super easy for the kids to help with. My daughter had some friends over and they were practicing for Trick-or-Treating while waiting for the delicious treats to melt.

The girls (and adults) LOVED these mini tarts!
They were pop in your mouth good! I loved how quick they were to put together, and that you can customize each tart with the candy itself and all the toppings. These little mini chocolate tarts are so fun to create with your leftover holiday candy, and they’re easy and fast to make.
They’re just such a great way to use up that Halloween candy, that you KNOW will be sitting there taunting you until Christmas!

Wondering what to do with all of your leftover chocolate Halloween candy? Make mini chocolate tarts, of course!

    Prep Time 10 minutes
    Cook Time 10 minutes
    Total Time 20 minutes

    Ingredients

    • 1 box of mini-fillo shells (find them in the freezer section)
    • Mini chocolate candies – Rolos, Kisses, mini Peanut butter cups, chopped up Butterfingers, Snickers, Milky Way, etc.
    • Other toppings: Whipped cream, Cool Whip, marshmallows, nuts, more chocolate

    Instructions

    1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
    2. You can place the frozen shells on a foil lined cookie sheet, or place them in a mini cupcake pan like we did.
    3. Unwrap the candy and place them in the shells. Bake for 5 minutes.
    4. Using the back of a spoon, press down on the melted candy and flatten out the chocolate. If you want to melt marshmallows on top, place the pan back in to the oven to soften the marshmallows or put them under a gas broiler to “roast” them.
    5. Let cool for 5 minutes, so as not to burn your tongue. Or let cool to room temperature to add whip cream.
    6. Add toppings and decorate!

    1. This is such a great idea and, better still, is the fact your "leftovers" look delicious. This is my first visit to your blog, so I took some time to browse through your earlier posts. I'm so glad I did that. You've created a great spot for your readers to visit and I really enjoyed the time I spent here. I'll definitely be back. I hope you have a great day. Blessings…Mary

    2. These are the kind of leftovers I would love to have! Your photos are gorgeous too. I am definitely going to have to save that last photo in my pinterest file to remember to make these. They don't even have to be leftovers, because what I would really want would be Rolos and nobody is going to have any of those left!

    3. I am following you now! Come and follow me on Pinterest and get signed up for Pinterest – so many wonderful ideas all condensed into one page a day! I think you would love it. Keep enjoying blogging, it is a wonderful hobby especially when we already love to bake and create!

    4. Those look DELiciOUS! Yum! And I love that your kids were practicing Trick or Treating – it is a hard skill to master =-) Ha ha! my kids love running around the house with their baskets this time of year too. We use them to collect leaves outside too.
