Eat, Drink, and Relax this Summer

On Sunday we dropped off the 10 year old at a week long sleep away camp. I can’t tell you how excited I am for her to get to experience this. I’ve gotten some supporting comments and some comments about her being too young, but I know that she is ready for a little independence away from us. I think that she is going to gain so much from the next seven days of freedom to run and play and be a kid with 100 other girls. She’ll be able to stretch her wings and do things that this over-protective mom would have a hard time witnessing. She will get to have disagreements with tent mates and have to come to their own resolutions and she will fall down and have to pick herself back up. I want my daughter to be strong and independent and I know she’ll have a blast at camp this week.

In the meantime, I plan on a week of quiet time. Time to work in peace and quiet. Time to watch R-rated movies in the middle of day. And time to walk around the house naked. Ok, I may be joking about the last one, but it’s so freeing to NOT have to cater to my child 24/7.

Last week I shared a new recipe for No Bake Peanut Butter Pie! Wozers! And I updated my Big Mac Cake with Fudgy Brownies and 3 layer Yellow Cake Recipe.
Creamy, dreamy. Peanut Butter Oreo Pie! No bake, easy to make, and ready in no time!
Give your Big Boy a Big Mac Cake for his next birthday! With Yellow Cake and brownie layers, this cake is sure to be a big hit!!
