Old Fashioned sparkly real Strawberry Milkshake

This is such a fun drink to make! It’s a milkshake that features fresh, sweet strawberries, and the sparkle of ginger ale. Whoa! It’s time to kick back, turn off the electronics, and just enjoy the sweeter things in life. These old-fashioned strawberry sodas are the perfect drink to cool down with on a warm summer day.

My daughter always orders a “pink soda” when we go to Chick-fil-A. That would be a Fruit Punch with Sprite. I wonder if they would make me a strawberry milkshake and add some Sprite. I’ll have to ask next time I go… That would be perfect!!

    Real Strawberries Milkshake

I just want to point out that these Old Fashioned Sodas are only colored with the strawberries. The ones I picked were so juicy and red all the way through. There were no white centers and no tart ones. If you happen to have less than desirable strawberries, you can add some sugar to sweeten it and some food coloring to make it a bit more pink.

Cool and refreshing! Bring back the good old days with this easy Old Fashioned Strawberry Soda. Made with real strawberries and soda.

Stay cool and enjoy the 100 days of Summer!!

Who said this Old Fashioned Strawberry Soda was for kids? It's a great treat for mom to sit back and enjoy the end of the day.

    1. This looks so yummy! I love the name of your site, mainly because I’m dieting right now, and this soda may be my downfall! 🙂 Lol. I’m glad I found your post through The Pin Junkie link party.

      1. I know exactly what you’re talking about. Every time I try to start a diet, I’ve got to make another dessert that I just MUST try. The downfall to being a dessert blogger! Thanks for stopping by!

    2. You surprised me. I’d expected you’d use soda water rather than ginger ale, but you know what, I’ll bet the tangy twist is even better. Looks delicious, Karyn. I love old fashioned sodas and I’m sure this creamy one would be fantastic!

    3. Oh how I LOVE this simple and beautiful recipe. I want the pink drink too! Very nice – thanks so much for sharing with us at Weekend Potluck. (Did I miss seeing a link back to the party? It makes you eligible to be featured). Please join us again soon…may you and yours enjoy a lovely 4th.
