Popsicle Cake Pops

Ok… Summer has arrived in the Mid-Atlantic!
It was 90 degrees here today. They kinda canceled P.E. for just an extended recess play-time today. When we got home at 4 this afternoon my Little Cup ran upstairs, put on her swimsuit and we set up the slip n’ slide. There were 7 girls in my yard enjoying the water. Once the yard was a muddy mess, they enjoyed some real popsicles and “worked on their tans”.
Yeah… that laying out lasted all of twenty seconds before they were completely boarded and wanted to play some more. So on to the other side of the house to play in the sprinkler and water those plants.

Since Monday was Memorial Day, I totally lost track of my dates. On Wednesday night, I realized that it was in fact Wednesday, and I had no idea what to make for this Cake Pop post.
So, I turned to “Google” for inspiration, and was promptly overwhelmed with ideas. I get overwhelmed with Pinterest as well. I see all these beautiful ideas and think that there is no way that I can do any of it.
Do you ever feel that way? I know that it’s a real anxiety issue

    So… I just thought about what I wanted… I wanted a popsicle!
Therefore, I made some popsicle cake pops!
I LOVED how these turned out! And they were so easy to make.
Don’t know how to make cake pops?
Watch this video on making Cake Pop Batter
Once you have the cake batter made, I used a 2-Tablespoon Scoopir?t=psbusa23 20&l=as2&o=1&a=B000SSVRYMto measure out the batter. Shape these in a flaten U-shape. I used wooden popsicle sticks in place of lollipop sticks.
Now, watch this video on dipping Cake Pops.

Once the first color is added, melt the second color and dip the cake pop on an angle and add some sprinkles.
‘Cause it always tasted better with Sprinkles!

Wanna know how I kept these upright??
