    Pumpkin Date Cookies

Fall is in the air, the nights are cooler, the mornings are crisp, pumpkin recipes are invading the internet, and OXO is helping to raise donations for Cookies for Kids Cancer. For the month of September, OXO will be donating proceeds from select tools for baking and cookie making. Look for the Green Circle on participating products, set up your own bake sale, and bake up some cookies!

A little bit more about these yummy pumpkin cookies full of dates and walnuts and topped with a cream cheese frosting.

Well, they were amazing! I think that anything covered in cinnamon is amazing, but these cookies are fat and puffy and full of flavor. You can opt out of the frosting if you choose, or turn them into cookie sandwiches if you prefer. There’s no wrong way to these easy, fall favorite cookies!

    How you can get involved

I will be participating in TWO  Bake Sales with my daughter’s school in October. This will be our second year fundraising for this cause. It’s really easy to get involved, help out a good cause, and raise awareness.

Get involved with a bake sale at your school, church, community yard sale or civic group because every event helps – no matter how big or small.

Don’t think that you have to host a bake sale to help out. There are several ways you can help – Host a Cookie Swap during the holidays, plan an event, or shop for cookies directly from them.

Our first fundraiser in October will be held during the Freedom’s Runon October 4th. The school will be baking up lots and lots of Chocolate Chip Cookies to provide all the runners and families some “fuel” for after the run.

The second fundraiser will be on October 26th during the Shepherdstown Boo-Fest. This is an awesome weekend full of fun activities for the kids and the kid inside of us.
If you are in the panhandle of West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, or even south-western Pennsylvania,  come out and join us in Shepherdstown, WV.
