Step by Step
- Prepare your area. This goes fast and it’s really hot! Be ready! You can spread out foil or two silicon mats to dump the popcorn on to. Have your chips, pretzels, and candy ready to go. I lightly crush the potato chips and pretzels and have my candy ready to pour.
- In the Whirley Pop, add the oil, popcorn kernels and sugar. Close the lid and let it sit over medium heat, stirring it a few times until you hear it pop. Stir constantly until the popping slows to a few pops per second. It should all pop up in less than a minute.
- If you don’t have a popcorn popper, you can use your 4 Qt. pot on the stove. I used to make my popcorn this way until I got my Whirly Pop. Open the lid and dump out the HOT sugar popcorn on to the silicon mats . This makes six cups of a great kettle corn style popcorn.
- Now add the chips, pretzels, potato chips, candy, and a touch of salt. Let it cool.
- Melt some chocolate and drizzle it over the popcorn and wait for it to harden.
