Ingredients
- 14 oz sweetened condensed milk or heavy cream
- 4 cups milk or ½ milk and ½ water for less fat
- ¾ cup cocoa powder unsweetened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla pure essence
- 2 pinches cinnamon ground
- 1 dash of salt
For the dippers
- Candy Canes or Peppermint Stick Candy Spoons
- 1 cup Chocolate Chips
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
Step by Step
Start PreparationFor the minty chocolate dippers
- Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave and stir until smooth. Place mini foil cupcake liners in a pan. Fill them with the melted chocolate and stand up the candy spoons. I leaned them up through a cooling rack. Let them set and harden.
For hot chocolate
- Mix the remaining ingredients in a heavy bottom pot and bring to a simmer. If you are using real chocolate, let it melt in the milk or condensed milk first, later adding the spices.
- Stir the chocolate dippers into the hot chocolate to make it extra chocolatey with a touch of mint. Serve hot, Serve hot with a dash of cinnamon and some mini marshmallows.
