Elvis Ice Cream

Elvis Ice Cream - Chocolate Ice Cream loaded with frozen Bananas, peanut butter chips, and mini marshmallows.
I fell in love with this chocolate ice cream! For starters, it’s chocolate (duh); second, it’s got frozen banana chunks (OMG); third, there are peanut butter chips (nom nom); and finally, mini marshmallows (slurp)!
Given Elvis’ love of fried banana and peanut butter sandwiches, I think he would have liked this ice cream! Yes, I think any old fat dude would enjoy this ice cream 🙂

I always have frozen bananas in my freezer. I’m always making smoothies so this was very easy for me. I do suggest frozen bananas to fresh because of the temperature difference of the ice cream and the room temp fruit. It also prevents the banana from getting mushy or breaking while mixing it.

Just look at all those yummy banana chunks. I love frozen bananas. When I’m at the county fair or even at a large theme park, I always go for the frozen banana treats. Don’t know why I don’t make them at home more often…
I did make them for my family while I was in Hawaii. I’m such a good Aunt!

For the Chocolate Ice Cream, I used a premade mix that I found in the milk section at the grocery store. It’s really made for a soft serve machine, but I found that it worked pretty good in my KitchenAid Ice Cream Maker Attachment.
