I’ve been playing with this idea for a while now. I’ve been wanting to make cupcake cake pops, but instead of using all candy melts, I wanted to use actual frosting to top them.
I think they turned out great and that I’m a total genius!
Well, at least in my humble opinion…. 🙂
Now, you can’t cover them if you are planning on giving them away at a party, but they look great standing up on your dessert table!
If you have any frosting lovers out there, like I do, they will love these.
They are pretty easy to make. I didn’t want to get too complicated with a shaped base, so I just made a round shape then flattened the top and bottom. Kinda like a squat cylinder.
Once they were dipped and dry, I just used some Petal Pink Cupcake Icing with the open star tip to create the swirled top. Add a touch of colored sanding sugar and a little Pearl Candy Bead and you’re done!
Super easy and so pretty!
