I’ve got another fun Mardi Gras treat for you today.
Some fun Cake Pops that are filled with the Green, Gold, and Purple colors of a festive Mardi Gras party!
Don’t you just love them?
Did you notice anything different in the photo?? I’ve gotten my hands on some clear acrylic sticks from Bella’s Bakery & Bowtique.
I got to meet Nicole at the #OCCPMU (Orange County Cake Pop Meet-up) back in November. She makes amazing cake pops and treats and she has recently teamed up with Adri from MaskiPops.by.Adri. The two ladies have started their own blog 2 Moms, Pops & Tots. Head on over and check it out.
Step 1 – To make these design inside, you need to bake 3 cakes. Just take a box mix of vanilla, divide it into three equal parts and color them with Gel Paste Food Color.
Step 2 – Make you cake pop dough and roll out your cake balls.
Step 3 – Cut each cake ball into three slices.
Step 4 – Put the different colors together, give them a little smoosh to stick together and then re-roll them.
Once that’s done, it’s an easy process to dip and decorate them. I couldn’t make up my mind on how I wanted to decorate them, so I made three different designs.
I did a fun tie-dye, a mixture of sprinkles, and colored sugar stripes.
I loved these clear sticks! They are just so pretty and look so great instead of the white paper sticks. I had to constantly remind my daughter not to throw these away. They are reusable.
Also, if you purchase a KC Bakes Straw Stand, these acrylic sticks stand up great in them.
