Spring has Sprung!
Sing it from the mountains!!
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Spring! It’s my favorite time of the year.
The bleak winter has subsided and the daffodils and crocus come back.
Happy Yellow and purple flowers come and cheer up the landscape and today the sun was shinning and it was nearly 80 degrees.
I could not believe it!
Makes me sing “Happy, happy! Joy, joy!”
I was so inspired, I had to make some Daffodil Lollipops.

Here’s what you need:
Yellow Candy Melts
Lollipop sticks
Yellow and Orange Large Gum Drops
Cookie Sheet
Wax Paper cut into squares large enough to cover stencil
Print Stencil from here
Disposable piping bag

Here’s what you do:
Cut out your stencil and wax paper and place on cookie sheet.
Melt candy melts according to directions. Low power setting and short intervals are best.
Pour the candy melts into half the piping bag and snip off 1/8 to 1/4 inch. I prefer the disposable piping bag over a baggie because it’s thicker and will hold up longer through the squeezing. I’ve had too many baggies bust a seam on me and ruin what I was working on.
Outline flower and place the stick about half way. Be careful not to go too far to the center. I found it best to go up through a flower petal instead of placing it like the one in the picture.
Fill in the flower and shake the wax paper to settle the candy to a smooth surface. You will have to work fast before the candy hardens against the cookie sheet.
Add the gumdrop to the center.
You can add sprinkles now if you’d like, or let dry for 30 minutes and outline with candy melts and cover with sprinkles.

These were taken in my yard with my beautiful Daffodils.
They make me so happy!
Smile and know that Spring is on it’s way!
