    Panna Ingredients

Gelatin- a very important ingredient in this dessert is the gelatin. If you’re unsure of what gelatin is…let me explain: “Gelatin or gelatine is a translucent, colorless, flavorless food ingredient, derived from collagen taken from animal body parts. It is brittle when dry and gummy when moist.” (source)

The gelatin will help make the panna cotta consistency set. When all is said and done, this dessert will have a custard-like consistency. Gelatin really does help bring this layered jello dessert to life.

Light Coconut Milk – if you have ever had panna cotta, then you know it’s not a super heavy dessert. I’ve chosen to use light coconut milk to help make this. Coconut milk isn’t as heavy in calories and fat, and it makes for a nice panna cotta. If you’ve never used coconut milk before you really need to give it a try!

I’m not going to name all of the ingredients, but you get a general idea. There are three parts to this recipe. The gelatin part, the panna cotta recipe, and the strawberries. Each part of the recipe works together to help make the most delicious panna cotta ever!
