Banana Nut Squares
I love banana desserts. I’ve made a Banana Birthday Cake, Banana Whisky Cupcakes, and banana nut muffins, but I think that these Banana Nut Squares are so good and tasty! It’s an easy banana sheet cake with cream cheese frosting, and it’s the perfect way to use up some of those brown bananas sitting on the counter. The whole family is going to love them and they are perfect for sharing at a neighborhood party. Make a batch today!
Boo hoo. Welcome September…. However, it’s been so hot this Labor Day Weekend and I’m loving it! We went to the pool and the park yesterday and today we’ve been out and about. I feel like I’ve completely blown off all blog responsibilities… which is kinda why I’ve been staying up until 1 and 2 in the morning! ugh! I’ve got to change that habit pronto! For most of the summer I’ve been up past midnight and then reading in bed for at least another hour. With our school {finally} starting this week, that 7am alarm clock is not gonna be my friend.
But man, were these Banana Nut Bars good! The bottom is a moist but dense banana cake with walnuts and a hint of cinnamon. They sure do make a great intro to fall treats. Besides, it’s only September. Why jump straight into pumpkin desserts? We’ve got all of October to enjoy pumpkin treats.
