Chocolate Malted Strawberry Milkshakes
Welcome Summer Heat!! These Chocolate Malted Strawberry Milkshakes are sure to cool you and your kids off during the summer heat waves. I like to think this might be some sort of classic flavor of a malted ice cream drink, but honestly, I don’t know how much flavor combinations they did back in the 40’s and 50’s. From what I can tell, they were flavor purists – Chocolate, Vanilla, and Strawberry were offered.
However, I love chocolate covered strawberries, so I mashed the flavors together for my milkshake. Fresh, frozen strawberries meet vanilla ice cream and milk with a generous addition of chocolate malt mix. It was delicious!
Of course, do not give the liquor to the kids, and please drink responsibly.
Want to know more about the strawberry vodka? Check out this post I made for raspberry vodka. Just swap out the fruit.
You can also go for maximum chocolate flavor by using chocolate ice cream and chocolate milk. No harm in that.
And… aren’t these straws the cutest?? I found them in TJMaxx a while ago and I’ve been saving them for just the right post. Don’t you think they are perfect for a birthday party. I searched for them online, but could not find them for you. Sorry. This is why I always pick up cute items when I see them – because I never know if I’ll find them again lager.
Anyway, If you want to try, the company is Mara Mi. Good luck!
